Assessment & valuation
A clear-eyed view of what you hold, how strong it is and what it could be worth — before you spend money protecting or selling it.
Most decisions about intellectual property are made with too little information: which countries to file in, whether to keep paying renewal fees, what to ask for in a licence. An assessment replaces guesswork with evidence.
We look at the IP the way a prospective licensee, acquirer or investor would, and tell you plainly what we find — including when the answer is that the commercial case is weak.
What it covers
- Review of the claims, their scope and how easily they could be designed around
- Prior art and competitive landscape in the fields that matter
- Freedom-to-operate risks that a partner would raise
- Addressable markets, likely licensees and comparable deals
- A valuation range with the assumptions behind it made explicit
What you leave with
- A written assessment you can share with your board, funders or partners
- A defensible valuation range, not a single optimistic number
- A ranked list of commercial pathways worth pursuing
